I am a celebrant (@marriedbyjacki) and had the pleasure of working with Johnny at a wedding yesterday. He was professional, friendly and was on top of all of the music for the ceremony which always makes my job so easy. Even though I had brought my own PA system, he offered his sennheiser mic to use which I took advantage of (less set up for me which we love!) I would highly recommend DJS in your house and Johnny for any event you have.read more

John Jousten is such a great guy! He was recommended to us by Maleny Manor and we couldn’t be more grateful. Our first meeting took place at a coffee shop which was a half way point for us both and we were grateful that Johnnie was happy to travel to meet us and on a Sunday nonetheless. Over Coffee and breakfast, we chatted about music and as it turned out we had a common interest in alot of music which was great, in fact I’m sure the meeting went for longer than it really needed to because we just ended up chatting about our favourite songs. All 3 of us genuinely love music, this was great because Johnnie got to know us and it was because of this that on the night of our wedding he knew exactly what to play for the dancing part of the evening, it genuinely felt like we had become friends and we had absolute faith that he was the right man for the job. Later in the process Johnnie requested another meeting just to make sure he had all the right versions of the music we requested, this time and again on a Sunday, Johnnie travelled to our home which was 30 minutes from him and went through the entire day musically with us. He even came back a few nights later with his lighting to show us what it would look like on the night. Johnnie also called our celebrant to organize sound and they worked together to make sure everything went smoothly. On the day of our wedding Johnnie was great, he met me in the carpark as I was arriving (this was really early for him to be there, he wanted to make sure everything was perfect) he asked me how I was feeling and gave me some advice on keeping calm and taking it all in. It was a very sweet moment actually. He made sure there was music playing as I was getting ready, he may have just been sound checking but it was very nice to have some music anyway. The whole plan for the music went off without a hitch, from the pre wedding music playlist we planned, to my walking down the aisle and our recessional song. The reception was where Johnnie shone, he provided excellent up lighting, great music, he even MC’d for us. We also had dancing on a cloud provided by Johnnie for our first song to make everything even more magical than it already was. If you are looking for a DJ Johnnie from DJ’s in your house has to be your first choice!!!read more

Johnnie, what can we say... you are awesome!!! You are amazing at what you do, you go that extra mile to exceed perfection and are literally one of the coolest people we have ever met!! You made our wedding perfect and just to think of all the random music I had put together, I put you to the test I think haha but my goodness you nailed it!!!! You filtered the right requests, you ticked every box, created my dream atmosphere for our special day, even broke down seconds of songs to make things that extra bit magical and had everyone dancing and celebrating just as we wanted. Johnnie came highly recommended to us after we told our wedding venue that we had no plans to hire entertainment for our wedding.
